Our Appetizer Catering Makes Your Wedding or Party Truly Decadent

mini potato skins debbie party_edited.jp

For your wedding or fun get-together, appetizers are the ultimate party food. They're lighter than a heavy dinner party and facilitate lots of good conversation between small bites. When they're eaten before dinner, but they're not too filling, like nuts and veggies and cheeses, they're called hors d'oeuvres. When they're smaller versions of more substantial dishes, they're called appetizers. Our company is known for the best wedding and party catering company in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills, and we'll show you why appetizers are must-haves for small parties, big weddings, and more!

Check out this partial list of our passed appetizers. If you're craving something you don't see here, let us know and we'll make it. We love trying new things!

Appetizer catering provides variety and satisfies even the most finicky of party guests.

An all-appetizer party is an occasion unto itself, inviting partygoers to try a selection of yummy foods and styles of cuisine. You're catering your wedding reception, for example, and many of your friends are vegetarians. Instead of calculating the size and portions of different dinner entrees, appetizers and hors d'ouevres make it easier to accommodate your party guests. Choose protein alternatives, or select different vegetables and carbohydrates. (Your favorite Los Angeles caterers' world-famous Bacon Mac & Cheese Springrolls with Bacon Alfredo Dipping Sauce can be made without bacon!) Even the strictest carnivores love our fresh vegetables grilled, sauteed, and infused with flavor, unlike other L.A. catering companies' "rabbit food" and DIY crudités.

Our rich catering menu offers amazing salads, too, like our Mixed Baby Green Salad with Blue Cheese, Tomatoes, Avocado, & Candied Pecans in a Shallot Balsamic Vinaigrette. Or try our Roasted Beet and Goat Cheese with Baby Field Greens and Shallot Balsamic Vinaigrette.

Appetizer catering saves space for tables for your party, along with other rentals like chairs, silverware, and dishes -- and it saves money, too.

As top L.A. full-service caterers, we provide your party space with whatever you need. Dinner party catering for 6-8 guests can require more furniture than you have -- and can comfortably seat. At an appetizer party, you can forego the sitting and dining. Keep guests moving and mingling. Use outdoor and indoor areas if spacing and social distancing permit. We'll need space to prepare but also space to present your food -- our friendly, professional servers with elegant trays blend in with wedding guests and partygoers to serve hot foods hot and cold foods chilled.

Budgeting for your party or wedding is easier when you can count the number of dishes in your appetizer catering rather than estimating an amount people will eat.

How many appetizers do you need for your dinner party? For 8-10 guests, a minimum of four selections. For 10-12 party guests, five selections. Those proportions hold at 25 guests and 50 guests, too. How many appetizers does each guest at your small party get? For a dinner party or other evening event, we recommend 12-15 total pieces per guest -- they're eating enough for a meal. If your party or wedding is between regular mealtimes like lunch or dinner, or after dinner, plan on 8-10 appetizers per person.

Choose appetizer catering for a longer wedding reception or party.

The planned length of your party will likewise be a deciding element in how many appetizers to prepare. The longer the event, the more apps you'll need. Partygoers will eat more the first hour, then about half as much the second hour, and nibble for the rest of the event. At a sit-down dinner party, guests generally don't return to entrees and sides after an hour -- but they can have just one more crab puff or shrimp cocktail.

How do you serve passed appetizers at your wedding or party when no one can touch the appetizers to pass them? Everyone flips for our Tuna TarTar on Wonton Crisps with Avocado & Wasabi Caviar, Mini Crepe Cups with Black Forrest Ham, Gruyere, Caramelized Mushrooms, Onions & Bechamel Sauce, and Creamy Spinach, Cheese and Caramelized Onion Stuffed Mushrooms. So we custom-made polymer appetizer catering platters, so that party guests marvel at the gorgeous presentation of our foods but no one but our masked-and-gloved servers touched the food with their hands!
