Honoring Loved Ones on the Big Day

Here's a great way to honor someone on your wedding day, who has passed away.

We catered a wedding last night and the mother of the groom had died a few years ago. In her honor he asked me to make his favorite dish his Mom used to make, a Zucchini Fritata. He gave me the recipe as he remembered it(she never wrote it down). I didn't really know exactly how it was supposed to taste but hoped it would be close to the way she used to make it. When I brought the platter out for him to try one, he cried when he tasted it because it made him feel like she was there with him on this very special day. I was so happy to do that for him. Also, his bride had him wear her Dad's favorite tie. These were both very touching gestures that made them feel close to their parents who had passed away❤️
